What a Mighty God

Aren’t children something else? They can play and get dirty and don’t seem to mind. Dirt. Mud. Grass. It doesn’t matter what it is but most don’t get bothered by the mess on their hands, clothes, and even their face. But as parents it tends to bother us to watch them play all covered in dirt. The other day the comparison came to me. What a mighty God we serve as He patiently watches us live our life covered in the dirt of this world without being effected by it.

As we give in to the pressures and temptations of this world our lives become covered with sin. His spirit can’t shine through a life that is covered with layers of dirt from years of self-indulgence. As Christians we must avoid, at all costs, the dirt of this world and live a life according to the commands of Scripture.

It is mulberry season!

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

They even stain your hands.

If your life is stained with the effects of this world, I encourage you to spend some time telling God that you are sorry for your disobedience and seeking what His will is for your life. Shed the dirt of this world and allow Him to wash you clean so that your spirit can shine brightly in this dirty world.
