5 Weekly Goals – August 12th

5 goals weekly link up

So, this is the big week. The birth of our 4th daughter is scheduled for tomorrow and I am trying really hard not to be anxious. But if I am totally honest I am. I am really struggling this time. I am nervous about her health, nervous about leaving the care of 5 children (no easy task as I am well aware) to others for 5 days and nervous about forgetting something that I might need or that needs done. My 5 Weekly Goals are much different this week than the last few weeks that is for sure. I have today to wrap up a few last minute household chores and then the rest of the week my only goal is to recover and bond with baby who will finally have a name soon.

Here are my 5 Weekly Goals for this “baby” week –

1. Pick up sibling shirts for pictures at the hospital tomorrow. Yes it is last minute but I a so excited to have them this time. I have never had them for all of the children before! Be looking for pictures later this week.

2. Cut grass if the rain holds out. We just keep getting showers most everyday and that is making it all but impossible to get the grass cut. It really needs it especially before we are too busy to do it for another whole week.

3. Pick the garden one last time. I am not sure how gardening will go after the baby is here so I want to pick it well at least one more time and get everything in the freezer.

4. Finish making lists for all the care givers that will be in and out of my house this week. I need a daily routine posted, and copies of where the children will be when and with whom. I am so thankful for helpful family and friends during my extended stays in the hospital.

5. Have a baby and recover. No matter what this will happen. Even if nothing else gets done from this list I know this will and this is the most important thing right now.

I am taking a deep breath and moving through what I can get done and leaving the rest. I am focused on having a good day with the children today so we are headed out in just a bit to play at the local play place at McDonald’s for awhile, then a few last minute errands and then home for a restful evening as a family. I hope that you will link up with me this week during the 5 Weekly Goals post. Just make a list either in a comment or on your blog and leave a link so that we can all visit and encourage each other. Thanks for joining!!
