Wordless Wednesday – A Birthday

It is Wordless Wednesday again and today it is all about Maggie’s 11th birthday. I can’t believe she is getting so big and is hardly a little girl any more. We spent the morning with a special friend doing her hair and make up and picking out the “perfect” dress.

Then we headed to the lake nearby for a “glamour” photo session just the two of us. She posed and I shot away. It was so much fun!!

Then we went to lunch together and came home to bake her cake. She wanted to take her cake to church for Bible study to share with our church family so we prepared her favorite cake just for that.

She has told me that it was the best day ever and I am so happy. I wanted to make her day special and I think that, although I didn’t spend any money or go anywhere fancy, it was a day that she will always remember. And I love how the pictures turned out. While it makes my heart a little sad that she is growing so fast I think that they truly capture her wonderful personality and spirit.
