Baked French Toast Casserole

A Loaf of your favorite bread ( enough to cover the bottom of your 9X13 inch pan)

4 eggs

1/2 cup milk

sprinkle of cinnamon

splash of vanilla

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9X13 inch baking dish. Tear the bread into small pieces until you have covered the entire bottom of your pan. Don’t push it down. It should be overlapping and just thrown in there. Now mix the eggs and milk and cinnamon and vanilla and whisk well. Pour over the bread and stir to wet the bread well. Spread the bread as evenly as possible and place in oven. Bake for abotu 20 minuted until eggs are set and bread is nice and brown. Cut and serve warm with your favorite topping.

I love using up odds and ends of bread left over for this recipe. I have used homemade bread, homemade cinnamon bread, and even leftover buns. All of them worked just as well and kept me from having to waste the stale bread. This is a great recipe to let the children help make as the older ones can crack the eggs and the younger can tear the bread. So, I hope you enjoy this recipe with your family.
