A Glimpse.

At the begining of summer I finally entered the age of “current” technology and got a smart phone. And it has a camera. And I can’t believe I ever lived without it. As a photographer I always want to “capture the moment” but carrying a huge camera around my neck 24/7 isn’t always an option. I fins myself using my camera on the phone A. LOT.

So, here is a glimpse of our summer from everyday life. The photos aren’t perfect, the background may be a messy house or the children’s faces might be dirty but these are the moments that I don’t want to forget.

Our Summer 2012

I love seeing my kids serve each other.
My children have raised money for the Ronald McDonald Family Room
and this summer made a donation of over $100 worth of food/drinks to families
in need.
Dress up time!!
Play time with friends!
We had a hot summer and lots and lots of popsicles have been consumed!
We visited the new sea lion exhibit at the St. Louis zoo!
Learned from our grandparents
Went to Cabela’s for the first time and saw lots
of animals.
And spent time outdoors as a family.

It has been an amazing summer. And though we didn’t get to do everything that I wanted as I looked back over these pictures I was reminded of the memories that we make in the every day. And I know that this was a summer we will remember.

How was your summer? What is your favorite memory of this summer? Would you share please?

  1. My favorite moment of the summer, that’s a tough one. I suppose it would be watching the kids have fun together on the slip n slide or watching Elam play in his kiddy pool that he loved so much. Oh, wait. I know what it was! Leah’s birthday party at my mom’s that was how I define summer fun!

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. You have to download the instagram app! It’s kind of like facebook in that you follow people and they follow you. But it’s also sort of like a mini blog with pictures and short descriptions only. I love it! My user name is timandadriane. Look me up :)
