Borax

Have you hear of this household wonder? For years forgotten but making a comeback in these past years. Do you know what all Borax can be used for? Well, I am sure I am just scratching the surface but today I will share with you my favorite uses for Borax in my home.

Borax

1. Dishwasher – Use Borax to make some homemade dishwasher soap or just sprinkle some into the bottom of your dishwasher before you start it. It helps to get the dishes cleaner and reduces spots during the drying.

2. Bathroom – This is one of the BEST cleaners for soap scum in the sink and the bathtub that I have found in all my years of cleaning bathroom! It has enough “grit” to easily scrub the porcelain until it shines! Just sprinkle the dry powder all over the bathtub, grab your favorite scrub brush, and set to work. You will be amazed at how quickly Borax can clean your fixtures to a shine.

3. Laundry – As you have seen in recent posts I have started making my own laundry soap and Borax is one of the main ingredients. Since I have been making this soap I have also started using a little extra Borax as a stain treatment. I wet the stain, cover it with a little Borax, and scrub in gently. Then I leave it set for a couple hours or overnight and then wash as normal. You will be surprised at how effective this is.

4. Counters – You know those pesky stains from cups and pans that seem to always pop up on your counters and cooktops? Borax does a great job in ridding you of those unsightly spots. With a little sprinkle, a dab of water, and a little elbow grease your counters will look like new again.

I have fallen in love with this natural cleanser and I am sure you will too. At less than $4 a box one box can make laundry soap for your family and clean the whole house too. Check it out today.
