5 Weekly Goals – Fall Cleaning Part 2

Okay, with the girls’ help I got the ceiling fans all cleaned, the windows all washed and the floor mopped last week. I added a few things to the Christmas lists and found a great box for our library books. I have the fabric that I am going to cover it with too. Overall I was pretty pleased with last week’s goals that were reached. I finally got the fall crop in the ground too and now this weekend it has been a slow and steady cool rain all day on Saturday so I am hopeful that they will be producing in no time.

But on to this week’s goals. 5 goals. That’s it. Sometimes it is harder than it sounds when I don’t let myself include the “normal” chores like laundry and such.

1. Dust crown molding and wipe down baseboards. I really don’t like this job but it must be done.

2.  Continue to change clothing over. It warmed back up again last week so I waited on this as we don’t really have enough space in the bedrooms to have two seasons out at the same time. I instead just got out jackets and let them continue to wear short sleeves.

3. Clean the washer. We have already had the washer over 3 months and I figure it is probably time to run that nifty little “clean washer” cycle it came equipped with.

4. Clean cabinet fronts with citrus cleaner. I love the way that this homemade cleaner leaves even my “fake” wood cabinets shiny and clean looking.

5. Order pictures. No, this is not really fall cleaning but I finally got a great shot of all of the children wearing their matching “number” shirts this past week and I want to make sure I get it ordered and on the wall this time. I have so many great “portraits” of my kids that I have taken and yet the photographs on the wall are almost 3 years old.

Fall cleaning just a little at a time. Not three solid days of deep cleaning that leave everyone with no clean laundry and no forks for dinner. Just bite sized pieces each week. We have a pretty slow week this week which I am thankful for. I have my first photography session since Elizabeth was born on Wednesday and then a wedding to shoot on Saturday. Fun photography week! Look for a post of some of my recent work really soon! Have a blessed and joyful Monday! This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice today!
