5 Weekly Goals – Fall Cleaning

Fall cleaning

Around here in the mid-west the weather is finally changing and fall is in the air. It is time for candles, fires, and pumpkin baking. And in my house it also means fall cleaning. Just like spring cleaning is done after the house has been closed up all winter and the air turns warm, I love to do fall cleaning once the weather turns cool enough to open the windows and air out the house before it is closed up for winter. So this week my 5 Weekly Goals are focused on my fall cleaning list. I did pretty well last week and got my blog calendar almost planned and my floors mopped. I didn’t get the fall crops in yet but maybe this week.

1. Ceiling fans and light fixtures – Maggie loves this job and I love that she loves it! So, this will be her “morning” chore room by room this week.

2. Windows – This will be Samantha’s morning chore room by room as well. The girls love to do chores like this rather than dishes or sweeping or something and that is just fine with me. I also hope to do the tracks and outside sills with the vacuum this fall as well.

3. Plant my fall crops. I am focused on peas and broccoli this year. Do you grow fall crops in the mid-west? If so what have you had good luck with?

4. Spend at least 15 minutes each day cleaning the basement. I did a lot of this before Elizabeth was born I spent quite a bit of time working in the basement but I want to set up a nice play area for the older kids for this winter. It offers a nice change of scenery during the long days of winter and gives them a great place to play during nap time too.

5. Under the children’s beds is in dire need of attention after momma being unable to help maintain the normal level of clean under there for six weeks.

I have my six week post op visit this week on Wednesday and hopefully everything will look great and I will be released to finally be able to get out and about a little more. Have a blessed week!
