From 70 degrees last Friday to over 6 inches of snow on Sunday Missouri weather sure can be crazy! We were not able to have church due to the road condition so we spent a lot of time just enjoying watching the snow fall and relaxing with the family.
We don’t often have days full of a lot of nothing, so it was a nice change. I am not sure who enjoyed it more, the kids or my husband and I.
It was just beautiful to watch. We haven’t had a big snow like this in several years. It was so fun to see the kids try to walk in it! Look at how the tree is bent over under the weight of all the snow!
We watched some movies and played some games. We ate way too many snacks and drank more than enough hot chocolate.
Then we enjoyed some warm comfy chili for dinner. It was just “the perfect” family day.
Joe and the older kids spent a couple of hours outside working on this “masterpiece”. Jeremiah was sleeping and I was enjoying the quiet and some hot tea.
The snow was so “wet” that it is just hanging on every surface. Everything looked so clean and white. Such a funny site after being out at my parents farm yesterday in just jackets. We were even commenting about how things are starting to green up and we spied some buds on my mom’s bushes.
The beauty of God’s creation is just amazing, isn’t it?
I just enjoyed sitting and looking at the beauty of it. Thankful that we had the time to sit and enjoy the day and the weather as a family. God’s blessings are overwhelming at times aren’t they?
