Household Notebook – Daily Schedule (Part 2)

If you missed “Part 1” you can read it HERE.

In the front of my household notebook is a handwritten schedule. Most everything else in my notebook is typed out but this is one page that I don’t type. Why you might ask? Well, that is because in a house with growing children our daily routine changes almost as often as we change lightbulbs. So I just jot down our guideline as it is working right now and leave it at that.

I am not a huge schedule person. I love order and routine but I am also realistic and when I am dealing with my children I know that knees will be scraped, children will have questions, there will be dirty diapers, and days you just need to go to the park for everyone’s sanity. So, I choose to use the term routine instead of schedule. Because some days we eat lunch at 11am and some days it is almost 1pm before we stop our schooling to eat.

Do you run your day on tight minute by minute schedule or are you a routine family?

Next up in this series is a break down of the different sections of my household notebook and what I use them for and how they help keep me on track.

Must take time to stop and see a butterfly
