For Small Hands is a great company for any family that desires to instill a love of helping into their children. They offer child sized tools that are just as usable and practical as those sold for mom or dad but in a size that makes them manageable for “small hands”.
Taking advantage of the “I can do it” age is of great benefit to any parent. Almost all children go through a phase during the toddler or preschool years that they want to prove they are BIG. And now, with the fun tools offered at “For Small Hands” they can do things that “big” people usually do.
They offer wonderful child sized yard work tools such as wheel barrows, rakes, shovels, and even gloves that fit small hands. Now, when it is time for spring planting or fall raking it can be a family affair. I have often written here at Our Heart and Home about how important we feel it is to teach children a strong work ethic from early on so that the family can work together and make chores easier for everyone. Having high quality tools makes this task of training a little easier and a lot more fun!
As the mom to four daughters I almost always have small hands in my kitchen and I am always searching for ways that they can help me and still be safe. Now, with the great child sized kitchen gadgets from For Small Hands I have the tools I need to encourage them to work along side me. I was sent a rolling pin (D326), measuring beakers (SC846) , the wavy chopper(D104), and the cut n’ roll slicer(D103) for this review and I am so excited to get my girls in the kitchen now. I can just see all of the fun salads that they will make with the wavy chopper, and the great cinnamon rolls that they will create with the rolling pin. But my favorite of all of them I think are the measuring beakers. As Maggie has gotten more independent in the kitchen one task always gives her trouble and that is pouring things like vanilla or milk into a measuring spoon. She struggles to hold the spoon still and pour such a tiny bit of liquid. But now, with these beakers they stand upright on the counter for her to pour into. I have never seen anything like them in the stores but these are BRILLIANT!
My little Katherine loves to help around the house as well and I am so excited to give her the child sized broom (Q20) that I received for Christmas! She is going to love finally having a broom that she can use well. This broom has a great wooden handle and straw bristles. I also have the mini dustpan and brush set (Q15) that will help her to finish what she starts and pick up her dirt in a more manageable fashion than with a full sized broom and dustpan. I can’t wait to encourage her in her desire to care for our home. It is something that our girls need to learn early on is the art of homemaking. If we start when they are young it will be such a way of life for them that they won’t even know any different.
For Small Hands also offers toys for infants, wonderful science toys and tools, games, and even music learning resources. You truly should check out their website for some great gift ideas for this holiday season! And as long as you order before the 19th there is a shipping option that guarantees it to your door in time for Christmas Day!

I love this company! We’ve had the mini chopper for 3 years and it still is used daily.

Amanda, I love checking out your blog! You always have such awesome reviews and posts that have helped me with my 6 yo nieces that are usually with us 4-5 days a week depending on my sisters work schedule. We homeschool them and they do house chores with the big kids. It has been a lot of fun, but also trying. They love to help in the kitchen, outside, laundry, you name it they love to do it. For Small Hands is a great website I never would have found without you! Thanks so much!
Just discovered your blog. Have never heard of for small hands before but I really like the concept. My kids are always trying to help me out in the kitchen, while doing laundry and mopping my floor. I think the Henry Helps Clean His Room and Henry Helps With Laundry would be great for my 5 year old and toddler. I like that they carry a variety of items for kids as well for learning and creating. Thanks for sharing. :)
I would love to check out the cooking and gardening tools!
I have never heard of this company until now, I will be buying from them!!!! There are so many simple things that my kids will love like a Pickle Picker lol, Jenna would flip over that !!!!
It’s so hard to choose! The measuring cups, the non slip bowl, the juicer/grater, or the tea set. Those are all things my girls would use.
I’ve heard wonderful things about the Learning Tower. Thanks for the opportunity! :)

I would love the My First Sewing Book! The kids are eager to jump ahead to sewing quilts now that they’ve mastered threading a needle, this would help us explore and learn without getting too ahead of ourselves.
