Welcome Baby – Honey Can Do – Household Organization

household Organization

And here is the “big” Welcome Baby finale!!! The household organization specialists over at Honey Can Do are sponsoring a HUGE giveaway here at Our Heart and Home. But first, my thoughts on the product.

After I received my confirmation that the Triple Chrome Laundry Sorter was coming I was so excited! I kept finding myself watching for the UPS guy every afternoon. I just couldn’t wait! I was so certain that with its three hampers and larger rollers this would be one of my favorite household organization tools. And once it arrived I was so thankful that the assembly was easy and I was on my way to using it quickly!

It has not disappointed. Because of its sturdy design and the metal handles/hangers the baskets stay open on the sorter and make it easy for even Katherine (age 4) to sort the laundry all by herself. The baskets are just the right size for my new washer and dryer set and one basketful makes the perfect load. So, I can easily and quickly wash a load of laundry because it is already sorted and ready to go. I just grab the basket and be on my way.

Assembly was easy and took less than 15 minutes.

This new laundry sorter also prevents me from dumping out the hamper only to find there really isn’t a full load of any one “color”. With the three hanging baskets I divided them into whites, blues/blacks/greens, and purples/pinks as this seemed to fit my family the best. And each morning I can tell right away which load needs attention that day.

I have found it so much easier to keep up with my laundry with the sorting part already done. As soon as I think of it I just lift the basket off the sorter rack and head downstairs. Even with our large family size the sturdy chrome construction is holding up wonderfully. I love the fact that it is on rollers and the rollers are super easy to push. Overall I couldn’t be happier!

I have always wanted one of these, but thought that it would probably fall apart or not hold enough laundry for a family of seven. After seeing your post, I’ll have to rethink it!! I LOVE to cook. It is always a time of fun in my house. My kids seem to gather in the kitchen and we cook together and talk and generally goof around. I think because I have always enjoyed it and encouraged their help, my kids love to cook, grill and bake. It’s nice to have kids that will call home and say, “Don’t start making dinner until I get home!”

I’ve been eyeing one of these! We are a family of soon to be 8 :D

Surprisingly, I DO enjoy folding laundry! Unfortunately, I’m often behind, lol!
Once upon a time, I truly enjoyed cooking… but with many littles vying for my attention while I try to prepare a meal… pushing at me… whining at me… well… it gets a little stressful! ;)

This would be great for our family of 6! My favorite chore is putting fresh sheets on the beds. I enjoy making the beds look nice and I love the smell of freshly laundered bedding :)

My favorite household chore is cooking! My only wish is that my kitchen was bigger so I could involve my kids more!

Baking is my fav. I should do it more. I also like cleaning out the fridge and scrubbing floors, mostly because I love a clean floor or a shiny new looking fridge :)

  6. Chores I like, thats a tough one! I like organizing projects. I am constantly reorganizing my kids playroom.

  7. I like to cook :-) I would love to have this laundry sorter because my cheap one is falling apart!

  8. I would say hanging the clothes on the laundry line is one of my favorite chore. It gives me a few minutes outside and sometimes I even get to do it all by myself for a little “me time”. lol. Otherwise, usually just one or two of our 7 kids follows me out and I get a little special time with them, so that’s nice too.

  9. My favorite chore would have to be cooking. It’s just really fun to me.

Mowing the grass is a great destresser though.
