5 Weekly Goals – July 8th

5 goals weekly link up

Okay, now someone please tell me where this summer (or year for that matter) has gone! I can’t believe I just typed that date that says we are already into JULY! This week holds a lot of accomplishments, or at least I hope it does. I have a baby appointment this morning and then monthly grocery shopping. The rest of the week I am home most of the time and focusing on the garden and filling the freezer. I got all of my goals done last week even with it being a short week. Joe was on vacation the last four days and we have had a great time. We celebrated Maggie’s 11th birthday, spent time at my parent’s farm, bought a new dishwasher, swam at the lake, made a HUGE slip n slide, and spent lots of time relaxing and enjoying each other. Now, it is time to get serious about baby preparations and school work. Thank you to all who joined the 5 Weekly Goals link up last week. I hope to see it grow soon!

Here are my goals for this week.

1. Get the button and some of the posts ready for the big Welcome Baby event coming later this month. Did you see the sponsor post last week? I think you will be excited as there really is something for everything.

2. Put at least 4 meals/items in the freezer.

3. Weed the garden several times and plant my lettuce and broccoli for the fall.

4. Complete at least 3 days of school with the kids this week. For now, we are focusing on our morning “circle time” which will be our Bible study and history and then we will add in our math unit next week or so. Just getting some hours under our belt and fulfilling some reviews that I need to finish for the Review Crew.

5. Stain the “floor” of the deck.

The weather looks a lot like “summer” around these parts this week and we will be making another trip to the splash park on Wednesday morning. But I am hoping to get the outside stuff accomplished first thing in the mornings while it is still cool out. My garden is looking great this year and I am so excited to see what it yields. It is coming a little late but I still am looking forward to a bumper crop!  A stocked pantry is the ultimate goal for me this summer. I hope you had a great weekend and have set yourself some goals for this week. I look forward to reading your lists. Link up or leave them in a comment.

  1. Great goals! We’re doing a bit of school too and I’ve got SIX reviews going. Luckily these are fun ones with not much book work.
